Creative Director and Chief Designer
Creative requires talented coders, graphic designers and copywriters so the Creative Director has to have an excellent working understanding of all three, and that’s what makes Ken such a valuable member of our team. His training began from a fine-arts perspective studying studio art at the University of Maryland, then branched into commercial art and photography in the early 80’s.
In the mid 90’s he discovered html, Microsoft’s Front Page and Macromedia’s Fireworks and began and building websites and designing logos for local businesses. To meet more sophisticated client needs, he soon moved on to more advanced coding incorporating object-oriented programming and responsive design into all of his websites and landing pages. At the same time, he moved over to Adobe’s suite of products, started using WordPress in many of his sites and expanded into brochure and white paper design and layout using In-Design. Meanwhile, Ken often collaborated with his wife Apryl editing and designing direct marketing pieces and conversion-oriented web copy for local and national brands further bolstering his conversion-design skills.
In 2013 Ken began doing design work for NuSpark using his skills to design landing pages, banner ads, websites, Power Points, reports, and white papers for major clients. His work frequently earns compliments for the team. He advanced to Creative Director in 2016.
