How’s the structure of your landing pages? Is it optimized for conversion? Here a a few tips to make your lead generation landing pages as powerful as possible.
So, I have been thinking about maximizing leads or conversions for paid search campaigns I run. One of the keys is a high performance landing page. Time and time again I run into average looking web pages and we then have to redo them to optimize conversion rate. Or at least make strategic recommendations. So you’ve read blogs on the topic, but here’s a summary of what makes a great landing page.
One, give me a compelling headline that addresses my need; which is why I clicked on the ad in the first place. A strong sub-headline as well. Engage me!
Plus give me a number of key benefits on why I should give up my email address to you. What will I learn? How will this offer help my company?
Two, show me a high-res image of your product or solution, or better yet, an explainer video or motion-graphic video. Hook me!
Three- what’s the offer? What am I getting? What’s the value of the offer? Why Do I need it? Test these please! And a strong Call-to-action button!
Four- the form. Keep it simple- 5-6 fields is best. It’s Ok to ask a relevant question but don’t make me think too much. Drop down and check box fields are much better.
Five- Support copy. Perhaps a little about your firm. Your value proposition. Why do business with you? Or, what makes you special.
Six and Seven. The Proof- Must have testimonials, customer logos, association badges, or other key elements to remind me that you’re legit and have great experience.
So that’s it. Look at your own landing pages? Do they work for you? Getting good conversion rates? Think about it!
